With a strong commitment to lifelong career development and the creation of a desirable work environment, St. Michael’s Hospital chose UIM as their technology partner for the development of the organization’s online performance appraisal system. The project involved the development of a 360° Assessment and corresponding system to capture, process, and output the data provided by organizational leaders, managers, and employees, among others.. It included the creation of a workspace for employees to log in and access the performance appraisal, as well as an administration area to manage the system.

The assessment tool met the immediate need for a mechanism to evaluate and provide feedback to a specific group of employees. The user-friendly online system is highly flexible to address the organization’s long-term goals and provide consistent assessment across the hospital. It also creates a quantifiable basis for “performance pay programs” (if part of an organization’s compensation model), by capturing an accurate and inclusive picture of an individual’s completion of goals, as well as their strengths and/or areas for improvement.

UIM’s system has enjoyed great reviews from the executive team and participating staff alike. While packed with features, UIM's system makes it easy for managers to engage their staff in a meaningful yet efficient manner. The company has implemented similar systems for clients such as Cineplex-Galaxy Theatres, Loblaws, Pfizer, The University of Toronto, and BCE Corporation.
