The Niagara Wine Auction: A fest of Epicurean Delight

UIM launches the Niagara Wine Auction website for an event that promises to be a weekend like no other. This inaugural celebration of Ontario wines is a three-day pleasure-filled experience to raise funds for Toronto’s SickKids Hospital and the St. Catharine’s General Hospital Pediatric Division.

Hosted by Ontario native and internationally renowned actor, Dan Aykroyd, the festival will highlight the richness and savour of the region’s finest wines and cuisine. The weekend commences with a reception and dinner providing guests with a blend of fine foods prepared by resident and celebrity chefs and deliciously crafted wines by Ontario winemakers. The silent and live wine auctions take place on Saturday, June 23rd amidst a vibrant garden party, where unique and priceless wine packages, merchandise and getaways will be made available.

Following the auction, guests are invited to join a “who’s who” in food, wine, entertainment and media to honour Niagara-on-the-Lake wineries while raising funds for children’s hospitals. The gala will include a gourmet five-course meal complete with entertainment. On Sunday, June 24th, there will be a casual brunch to cork the festivities with a Shaw Festival matinee performance, staged at one of Canada’s most reputable play-houses.
