The completion of a project is rarely just about fulfilling technical requirements since client objectives call for a more careful approach. Strategy has not been identified as its own practice area since it is the underlying premise for all projects and the framework for effective execution within the various practice areas.

This practice area seeks to devise a roadmap toward the optimal implementation of new technology initiatives by identifying and addressing various organizational considerations. UIM provides effective direction and adequate control to help clients appreciate project benefits, but also properly manage the risks and constraints of Internet technology. Digital Branding and Usability

Communications and Information Workflow

While good layout is important for one-way communication (such as print), it is not enough for two-way communication systems (online) because of the added element of user interaction. This practice area promotes communication that is strategic and effective, helping stakeholders in a given project to recognize and accept change. Furthermore, it allows them to explore the possibilities for the future and supports them throughout any transition period.
