MIPPS was one of the first companies in Canada to use fixed wireless technologies to conveniently and cost effectively meet a full range of communications and e-services, needs of organizations of all sizes. In addition to supplying its customers with robust and secure wireless broadband services for high speed Internet access or point to point connections to connect office LAN's at speeds of up to 500 Mbps, MIPPS provides a host of other comprehensive services: server co-location, data networking, virtual private network (VPN) services, web hosting and WiFi In-building wireless.


Challenge

MIPPS' challenge was that they offered a highly innovative technology that was difficult to explain to their target consumer. As a start up, they needed to achieve a consistent pattern of growth but their sales team was ill equipped for this task. UIM was brought in to create a website that helped to explain wireless broadband and the associated advantages in addition to simply marketing their product and service offering.


Objectives

  • Launch an information website that communicated MIPPS' range of services in a clear manner
  • Created a series of interactive demonstrations that visually explained how MIPPS technology worked
  • Establish credibility for this young start up through their online presence
  • Provide a mechanism for potential clients to immediately determine whether MIPPS offered services in their area
  • Attract attention of potential investors

Results

MIPPS has received strong reviews to date. Visitors to the site (as well as the sales and technical staff) have been able to use these new visual tools to help clearly explain and illustrate the technology, advantages and installation processes to all of their stakeholders. Some direct results of UIM's strategic planning includes the following:
