Founded in 1995, the Canadian Association of Chain Drug Stores (CACDS) is the
voice of community pharmacy in Canada. Its 22 retail chain members are leaders
in the industry, dispensing 78% of all prescriptions in Canada through more
than 5,600 pharmacies-or 74% of the national total-and with the help of over
97,200 employees, including more than 14,800 pharmacists and 17,400 pharmacy
technicians. In addition, CACDS' 180 associate members represent all supply
categories and services in the retail pharmacy industry.
